How to Make Money With Poker

Do you want to make money with poker? It’s a great way to do just that.

Now, when I say poker I am referring mainly to playing poker in a casino. Many people around the world play poker with their friends for money. When I mentioned this to my friend that I play at home with minimum tens and could easily be losing money, he said “you have to go to Vegas or some place like that to find tough profitable poker”. Oh I see, I thought I’d tell him how to make money with poker.

A few years later and I was making quite a bit of money and had many friends trusting me to play poker for money, it was time to pass the monitor over to the new generation. I suggested I teach them poker instead so they could benefit of my skills. This went on for a few years, and I estimate I have probably helped at least 10 people learn to play poker. My biggest credit to date is that I have never once went back to playing with my friends for money.

Why teach? Well, I now have greater confidence in them than I ever had before of course. Also I believe that if you learn to play poker, then you learn how to win and no person has ever made money in this game unless they have developed their own skills and had a reliable source of income aside from playing poker. I personally believe that winning is something you can learn, but it takes time.

Be patient in your learning process. Don’t expect overnight results. If you want to learn how to make money with poker, then you have to put in a lot of effort in the study and practice of the game. I believe that you can’t succeed from the beginning.

The old adage poker to me is about making enough from the game to provide for yourself and your family. Don’t make sure you do that, but if you earn an income playing poker than that is to be considered successful in the eyes of your family and friends.

Stick to small tournaments and play as many times as you can for as long as you can. If you play in gamblers tournaments instead of the casino poker ones, you can play in many more hands per hour. This way you can make many more dollars per hour than if you play in the casino tournaments. I will delve deeper into the odds of tournament poker in a later article.

I am not going into the mistress of gimmicks in the casinos, because I have already covered that ground. I am going to assume that you know all the intricacies of the game of poker. From the counting of the cards in blackjack, to the psychology of the game and much more, you have it. That’s the important part of the game; the psychology and strategies to manipulate your opponents into making mistakes so you can bag the pot.

The key to making money with poker is to hone yourself into a better and more well rounded player. Learning the game is easy, but to molded yourself into a better player takes a lot of time.

You can do with this system what you want. I suggest taking it easy because the information it gives you is already covered in many other sources. However, if you want to learn more just go to my site at and I’ll help you along.

Good luck in your poker endeavor.
